Art has always been at the heart of The Dean Dublin and informs everything we do. Since we opened our doors just 3 years ago, we’ve been working hard to ensure we foster a cool, super-comfortable and inspiring environment for our guests to enjoy.

We are thrilled to announce that we’re rolling out our brand spanking new The Dean Art Kicks initiative this May. We’ll be playing host to some of the country’s finest artists, with monthly exhibitions taking place in our gorgeous Blue Room, which will be open to both the public and our guests.

We’ve got lots up our sleeve for The Dean Art Kicks, but first up, we are super excited to reveal that our first exhibition this year will be from the one and only Rasher (AKA R.M. Kavanagh) on 5th May. He has been exhibiting since 1996, and since then he has taken part in exhibitions across Ireland, UK, Miami, LA, and New York and is a finalist in New York’s International ARC Salon Exhibition. We first welcomed him to our Blue Room in 2015, with his awesome ‘Life’s A Glitch’ exhibition. Now, he returns with his hugely anticipated ‘Perceptual Space’ showing.

‘Perceptual Space’ explores the willing infiltration of technology on our daily lives. ‘Life is what happens when you’re busy on your device watching other people live’. Have we desensitised ourselves to life, are we becoming numb? The exhibition will feature 7 intense emotional scenes, with a further 10 magnified smaller paintings from this body of work also on show.

Don’t miss the chance to see what is certain to be a thought provoking exhibition by one of the island’s most exciting artists as he shines a light on the hypnotic power of streaming, social media and our own personal ‘black mirrors’.
